You may have seen our feature article on Via Verde, a housing development in the South Bronx, in our November issue. The writer Alex Ulam took the videographer Doug Forbes out to walk the site with the project’s landscape architect, Lee Weintraub, FASLA, and captured the tour.

Reach Landscape Architects

I found this visual essay on Via Verde quite informative. This is a well-kept secret in our urban midst. The architect offers a prototype for the future of urban architecture, one that seriously addresses both ecological and aesthetic concerns. These are concerns of no small consequence. The quality of life in the approaching decades depends largely on our giving them adequate attention. C.S. Ledbetter
Via Verde is a wonderful project and it’s great to get this extended view of it – the video and interviews really help to understand the building and the thinking behind it. More videos like this, please!
way to go Alex ! … very interesting.
